Flashcard Microbiology Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms describe your use of Flashcard Microbiology, developed by Andrii Halabuda, on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Please read them before using the app.
Educational purpose and medical information
Flashcard Microbiology provides microbiology quizzes and a searchable organism directory for study and revision. Its content includes diseases, diagnosis, transmission, and treatments. It does not provide personal medical advice, establish a diagnosis, or create a healthcare professional–patient relationship. It is not intended for diagnosing or treating patients or for emergency use.
Content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions. Verify clinical information, including treatment and medicine information, against current authoritative sources and applicable clinical guidance before using it in practice. Do not delay seeking professional care because of something you read in the app.
Quiz results and completion indicators reflect study activity within the app. They do not certify clinical competence or guarantee examination results.
License and permitted use
Your license to the app is governed by the end user license agreement applicable to your App Store download. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies unless a custom license is provided with the app. These terms supplement that license with information about the app's educational use and features; they do not replace the applicable license or Apple's usage rules.
You may use the app for lawful study and reference within that license. The app and its content are protected by intellectual property laws. Rights belong to Andrii Halabuda or the relevant rights holders. Do not redistribute the app or its content, bypass purchase controls, or copy, modify, or reverse engineer the app except where the applicable license or law permits it.
Free features and full-version purchase
The app includes free features and an optional in-app purchase to unlock the full version. Review the features and price shown in the app and Apple's purchase confirmation before authorizing payment. Apple processes the transaction through the App Store; I do not receive your payment card details.
Purchases are subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions applicable in your country or region. Purchase availability and access on other devices depend on the purchase's App Store configuration, compatible devices, and Apple's rules. A full-version unlock does not promise every future product, feature, or indefinite support.
For a missing unlock or a problem restoring a purchase, contact me at the address below. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled through Apple at Report a Problem, subject to Apple's process and your rights under applicable law. These terms do not limit any mandatory refund or consumer rights.
Local data and privacy
The app's study features process data locally, and study progress is stored on your device. The app has no user accounts, ads, cloud sync, remote API, or third-party libraries. Apple's platform services handle in-app purchases. See the Privacy Policy for details about local data, Apple services, optional platform diagnostics, and support messages.
Keep your device and backups secure. Deleting the app and its associated data, changing devices, or losing a device may result in loss of study progress. Restoring a purchase does not itself restore study progress. The developer cannot recover local progress remotely. Operating system backups, if enabled, are managed separately through Apple or your backup software.
Do not send identifiable patient information, medical records, or other sensitive health information in support messages. Report content issues by naming the topic and explaining the error without including patient details.
Connectivity, compatibility, and updates
Study features use local data. Downloading or updating the app, purchasing or restoring the full-version unlock, opening external links, and sending support email may require an internet connection. Your internet or mobile provider's charges may apply.
Device and operating system requirements are shown in the App Store listing and may change with updates. Updates may fix errors, revise educational content, or change features. Continued compatibility with every device or operating system version is not guaranteed.
Availability and ending use
You may stop using the app at any time. To remove local study data, delete the app and its associated data through your operating system; offloading may retain data, and existing backups must be managed separately. Deleting the app does not automatically request a refund or erase Apple's transaction records.
The app may be updated or discontinued. Any changes affecting purchased access remain subject to the applicable license, Apple's rules, and mandatory consumer rights. Termination of your license is governed by the applicable end user license agreement.
Warranties, liability, and consumer rights
I aim to keep the app useful and correct, but do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular course, examination, or clinical purpose. Warranties and limitations of liability are governed by the applicable end user license agreement and law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, warranties, remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This includes any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
Changes to these terms
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be brought to your attention through the app or another appropriate notice, with consent obtained where required by law. Updates do not remove mandatory rights or retroactively take away purchased entitlements.
